UL AWM 10070 is a PVC insulated wire that complies with the UL (Underwriters Laboratories) standard in the United States. Its specification "105℃ 600V" specifies key performance parameters. The following is an explanation of its characteristics, applications, and core standard requirements:

1.Core Features

(1)Temperature resistance and voltage level

Rated temperature: 105℃, capable of long-term stable operation in high temperature environments, suitable for internal wiring of equipment with certain heat generation.

Rated voltage: 600V, belonging to medium and low voltage wires, meeting the voltage requirements of most electronic devices and electrical appliances.

(2)Insulation materials and structures

Insulation layer: Made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) material, it has good electrical insulation, chemical corrosion resistance (resistant to grease, weak acid and alkali) and mechanical strength, and has low processing costs.

Conductor: usually made of multiple strands of tin plated copper wire (with a few bare copper), with good flexibility, easy bending and installation, and tin plated layer can enhance oxidation resistance and welding performance.

(3)UL AWM Standard Features

AWM (Appliance Wiring Material) refers to the "internal wiring material of equipment", which means that the wire is only used for internal connection of equipment and is not suitable for building wiring or external exposed laying.

Meets the requirements of UL 758 standard (Equipment Wiring Materials) for insulation thickness, aging resistance, and flame retardancy (usually meeting VW-1 vertical combustion test), with low fire risk.

(4)Physical property

Excellent flexibility, suitable for wiring in narrow spaces such as internal electronic instruments and connections between equipment components.

Good wear resistance, able to withstand a certain degree of mechanical friction, but not suitable for long-term exposure to outdoor or extreme environments (such as high temperature, direct ultraviolet radiation).

2.Typical application scenarios

Due to its positioning and performance characteristics of "internal wiring of equipment", UL AWM 10070 wires are mainly used for:

01.

Internal connections of electronic devices

Wiring between motherboards and components of office equipment such as computers, servers, printers, copiers, etc.

02.

Internal wiring of household appliances

Control circuits or component connection wires for microwave ovens, ovens (non direct heating areas), air conditioners, washing machines, and other equipment.

03.

Industrial instruments and meters

Internal signal or power wiring for sensors, controllers, small motors, and other equipment.

04.

Medical equipment auxiliary wiring

Internal wiring of some low-power medical devices (such as monitors and small diagnostic equipment) (requiring coordination with other medical grade certifications).

Attention: It cannot be used for building wall wiring, outdoor exposed installation, or direct contact with high-temperature heat sources (such as areas above 105℃), nor is it suitable for extreme environments with high humidity and heavy oil pollution (although PVC has certain chemical resistance, long-term immersion may affect insulation performance).

3.Differences from similar specifications

Compared to other models in the UL AWM series (such as 1007, 1015), the characteristics of 10070 are:

1007: Rated temperature of 80℃, 300V, suitable for small electronic devices with lower temperature and voltage (such as toys and chargers).
1015: Rated temperature of 105℃, 600V, but with thicker insulation thickness and higher mechanical strength, suitable for more demanding industrial environments.
10070: In the 105℃/600V level, the insulation layer design focuses more on flexibility and is more suitable for fine wiring in compact spaces.

4.The significance of certification and compliance

UL certification is an important recognition of electrical product safety in the North American market (such as the United States, Canada, etc.). UL AWM 10070 wire passing this certification means that it meets the safety requirements for internal wiring of equipment in North America, and is a key compliance certificate for products entering the North American market, especially in the field of electronic and electrical exports, which can significantly enhance the market recognition and safety endorsement of products.
