The classification dimensions and quantities of electric heating elements vary, and the core can be divided into six categories based on "heating principle+structural form", covering the vast majority of application scenarios.

 

Resistive electric heating element

The most commonly used type is to generate heat by passing current through a resistive material. Including metal wires (such as nickel chromium, iron chromium aluminum), metal foils, thick/thin film resistors, with simple structure and low cost, suitable for most low to medium high temperature scenarios.

Inductive electric heating element

Inductive electric heating element

Using electromagnetic induction to generate heat on the metal workpiece itself, without open flames and with high heating efficiency. The core is the induction coil, which needs to be used with a high-frequency power supply. It is not directly exposed as a "component", but rather serves as the core component of the heating system.

Arc type electric heating element

Arc type electric heating element

High temperature is generated through arc discharge between electrodes, with concentrated heat generation and extremely high temperatures (up to several thousand℃). Commonly found in electric arc furnaces and plasma heaters, the electrode is the core component and requires special protection of the gas environment.

Electron bombardment type electric heating element

Electron bombardment type electric heating element

Using an electron gun to emit electrons and bombard the target material to generate heat, it can be used in a vacuum environment with good temperature uniformity. Mainly used for vacuum coating and high-temperature sintering equipment, with complex structure and high cost.

Infrared radiation electric heating element

Infrared radiation electric heating element

By using electric heating materials to generate heat, infrared radiation is emitted to transfer heat, resulting in fast heating and minimal heat loss. Including infrared lamps, carbon fiber heating elements, ceramic infrared radiation plates, suitable for scenarios that require rapid heating or localized heating.

PTC electric heating element

PTC electric heating element

Positive temperature coefficient thermistor, the resistance increases sharply when the temperature rises, achieving automatic constant temperature. No need for additional temperature controllers, high safety, commonly found in small household appliances such as heaters and car heaters.
